    lockscreens no. 100 part 3/3

    part 1 (A-I) | part 2 (J-R)

this is my 100th set of lockscreens! I started making these for fun in March and in a couple months I’ve recieved amazing comments and unreal support! I’ve never done a follow-forever or shared blog recs of my favorite fandoms. Reaching my 100th set, I decided, was something to celebrate because I wouldn’t have kept up with them without you guys.

I don’t know everyone’s names or usernames but I wanted to thank everyone for the epic love you’ve given me. even though I’m so slow at requests. So I’ve made a set of the alphabet and hope it covers all of you <3 THANK YOU!

please don’t repost or redesign. likes + reblogs are appreciated <3

  • How do I over come same face syndrome :/

Oh gosh, well, honestly, I have a bit of a problem with it myself sometimes. It’s really easy to fall into drawing the same shapes.

But, I guess one of the best ways, I find, to get out of same face, is to take inventory. Really find what makes up distinction in the face. A lot of minuscule details go into making up the face. Here’s some of the biggest things I tend to focus on:

    image

Really changing each of these up per character gives them a nice distinction. One of the largest components of my art is Rigidity vs. Fluidity, and it goes for the face as well. Is it a very rigid and hard person, and should their face reflect it? Or do they have more swaying ideals, and can they be portrayed as softer?

But again, I do sort of consider myself a cartoonist, so exaggeration also plays a large part in my art. Really playing with certain areas, and seeing how far you can actually stretch and compress them is good practice as well.

I sincerely hope this helps! <3
